The earlier club recommendations for slc are probably good. If you like to hike you can go up Rock Canyon, and there is also some climbing up there. Orem is really quiet with a lot of national chains. BYU has an international cinema that usedc to be excellent and now is ok. I honestly can't think of anything for a young hipster to do in Orem other than travel north, unless you're into the outdoors, in which case there is more to do than you'll have time for.
